New Bip Roberts Card...

Tryin' to get back in the flow of making cards. I decided to get started with something easy. Here is a 1988 Fleer Bip Roberts:

Contest Time...

I couldn't get the blood to spurt realistically enough on my submission in my favorite contest, so i ended up missing out on the fun. I really need to do something to get me back to blogging. What could be better than a contest of my own? Well, how about a contest that helps me complete my 2010 Topps Series 1&2 insert sets???

I have had some free time on my hands lately, so I have finally figured out what I need to complete the insert sets. The list is a little long, unfortunately. While I am missing quite a few cards, what I do have is a boat-load of extras up for trade!

Here are the rules:

1. Send me an email at travis@punkrockpaint.com with the subject line "Contest"
2. List between UP TO FIVE cards from my 2010 Topps Insert Want List that you are willing to trade. (You do not need to submit a list of what you want in return. You MUST own the cards you list AND be willing to trade them. You are NOT obligated to complete any trade, but please submit in good faith.)
3. I have chosen twenty cards from my want list at random. The winner will be the contestant that offers the most of the randomly selected cards out of the five cards they submit. Tie goes to whoever submitted first.

LOST... The Retro Baseball Card Set

Sorry I have not been posting lately. (Insert excuse here.) Today's LOST card brings back lots of great memories... and lots of stomach aches.

1, 2, 3, Foreheads...

Dinged Corners has issued a challenge. Since my collection is so utterly disorganized, I couldn't possibly hope to find any "fierce forehead" cards without digging through boxes, piles, and drawers of cards. Rather than risk an avalanche, I went to a "slightly" more organized part of my collection. I figured that I could pull a few ferocious foreheads from my collection on Topps Million Card Giveaway.

I was surprised at how many fierce foreheads I came across. Here are three of my favorites:

LOST... The Retro Baseball Card Set + Weezer Update

For those of you that are "in the know" (read: cool), you know that the new Weezer album, due out Sept. 14th, will be called "Hurley".

Yes. That is the cover. No text, nothing but Jorge Garcia's smiling face. I love Weezer. I love LOST. I love this cover!

Now for the REAL Weezer update: I am going to see Weezer tomorrow! For free! (with paid admission to the Del Mar Racetrack) I have only seen them live twice (Once in Seattle about 16 years or so ago, and more recently at Coachella a few years back.) Both times they were absolutely incredible, so I am really looking forward to tomorrow.

Wow! I had never even heard of Mr. Turkey cards before today! Thanks Check Out My Cards! I think this one worked pretty well with the Mr. Cluck's concept.

But, since I haven't done much lately, I figured I would give you an new card that is exactly that... not much. (I didn't like how the white and yellow lettering worked on this one, so I went with the red & blue. Sue me.)
